EduAlert ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information we collect
• Full name, Indian mobile number, selected class — provided during registration.
• 4-digit PIN — stored only as a one-way bcrypt hash. We never see your PIN in plain text.
• Device ID & session token — to enforce one-active-device security.
• Usage logs (alerts viewed, saved) — to personalise the experience.

2. How we use your data
• To deliver personalised education alerts relevant to your class & stream.
• To prevent unauthorised access through single-device session enforcement.
• To process Premium subscriptions and send transactional receipts.
• To improve EduAlert features in aggregate.

3. What we DO NOT do
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.
• We do not share your mobile number with advertisers.

4. Third-party services
• Google Play Billing for payments (secure, managed by Google).
• Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.

5. Data retention
• Account data is retained until you delete your account. Deletion is permanent.

6. Your rights
• Access, correct, or delete your data at any time via Profile → Delete Account.

7. Children's privacy
• EduAlert is intended for students of age 11+ with parental consent.

8. Changes
• We will notify you in-app whenever this policy changes materially.
